Throughout the course of nine weeks, participants will be exposed to different scenarios and learning opportunities ranging from; diversity education, getting involved with the government, resume building, personal branding, social media etiquette, identity and socialization, history and culture, social justice and community action, leadership and public speaking as well as college preparation."At the University of Michigan-Dearborn we talk a lot about the need to engage, to participate, to contribute, to make a difference. This, to us, defines the essence of leadership that we want our students to carry into the larger community outside our campus. Because of this core value of our campus community, we are privileged to partner with the Lebanese American Heritage Club (LAHC) in organizing the Youth Leadership and Diversity Education Program.Ē States Stanley Henderson, Vice Chancellor- U of M- Dearborn. "The extraordinary commitment of the LAHC to youth in our community is the hallmark of what engagement and making a difference is all about. At UM-Dearborn we are certain that our partnership with LAHC for this program will be about instilling a similar commitment in youth who will be the Difference Makers of tomorrow."
