The L.A.H.C. will host a luncheon meeting with Mrs. Mardi Woods, Director of Community Relations for the Pepsi Bottling Group, on December 18, 2003 at 11:45 a.m. at the Heritage Manor on Chase Road, Dearborn, Michigan.
November 21, 2003; L. A. H. C. 22nd Anniversary & Lebanon Independence Day Celebration Iftar Dinner Under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Skayni, Consul General of Lebanon, the L.A.H.C. will celebrate its 22nd anniversary, and will celebrate Lebanon Independence Day with an Iftar Dinner on Friday November 21, 2003 at 4:45 p.m. at the Heritage Manor, home of the L.A.H.C. Located on Chase Road in Dearborn (North of Warren Avenue). There will also be a special photography exhibit by artist Arthur Pletcher. The celebration & Iftar Dinner are co-sponsored by DTE ENERGY and by POWERONE CORPORATION. This celebration is open to the public, but must RSVP by November 16th, 2003 to Mr. Wassim Mahfouz at (313) 846-8480 or by E-mail to: Wmahfouz@lahc.org
November 2003; The L.A.H.C. Art Contest The L.A.H.C. is currently holding an art contest with three local area elementary and middle schools. Deadline for the art work (from various grade levels) is November 15th, 2003. Art work, submitted by students, will be displayed during the L.A.H.C. Lebanese Independence Day Celebration Dinner that will be held on November 21, 2003 at the Heritage Manor, Home of the L.A.H.C., located on Chase Road in Dearborn, Michigan. Winners will be announced at a later day, and will each receive a savings bond. Schools will receive an "Art Supplies" gift certificate. Further details will be announced and posted on our web site.
Members The Lebanese American Heritage Club had an Iftar Dinner with Mr. Mel R. Pyne, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Oakwood Hospital. Mr. Pyne was very enthusiastic about working with the L.A.H.C and the American Arab Scholarship Foundation and was very much interested in contributing to this worthy cause. October 12, 2003; Luncheon meeting with Lisa Hamway, Director, Contribution & External Affairs, SBC Members of The Lebanese American Heritage Club held a Luncheon meeting with Lisa Hamway, Director, Contribution & External Affairs, SBC on October 12, 2003 at the Heritage Manor in Dearborn, home of the L.A.H.C. The meeting was to discuss ways of cooperation between the club and SBC to financially contribute to the American Arab Scholarship Foundation.
The L.A.H.C. is very thankful to Mrs. Hamway for her time and for meeting with the Club Members and certainly appreciate her sincere efforts in helping our programs.
August 2003; Dearborn Homecoming Celebration; Ford Field, Dearborn, Michigan The L. A. H. C. has been a regular participant in the Annual Dearborn Homecoming Celebration that takes place on the first weekend in August. Authentic Lebanese Sandwiches are a trademark of our booth. The proceeds are poured into our Arab American Scholarship Foundation Fund.
June 2003; Arab International Festival, Warren Ave, Dearborn, Michigan The L. A. H. C. has been a co-sponsor with ACCESS, The Arab American Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Dearborn, of the Annual Arab International Festival held on Warren Avenue in the City of Dearborn. Proceeds from our food booth go into our scholarship fund.

May 2003; Dearborn Annual Memorial Day Parade; Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, Michigan The L.A.H.C. joined our fellow Americans in honoring and paying tribute to our veterans by participating in the Dearborn Memorial day Parade down Michigan Avenue in Dearborn. The L.A.H.C. salutes our veterans and appreciates their sacrifices that gave us and continues to nourish the freedom and liberty that we all cherish. |
