The Arab American International Festival

The LAHC proudly works to preserve the rich culture and heritage of not only the Lebanese, but the greater Arab community in the United States. Through the Cultural and Community Outreach Department, the LAHC hosts and sponsors a variety of events including a partnership with ACCESS and the American Arab Chamber of Commerce in the Arab International Festival, an integral source of pride for the LAHC as a founding organization of this annual event.

An internationally recognized event, the Arab International Festival receives widespread media coverage and brings in over 350,000 attendees throughout the three day weekend of festivities, held annually in June in Dearborn, the heart of the Arab American community.

Other than the festival, the LAHC hosts a multitude of cultural events which bring together the Arab and Non-Arab community, promoting awareness and understanding of the heritage and traditions of the Arab people. Some initiatives include: cultural and social activities, concerts, exhibits, and the sponsoring of other local organizations' efforts within the Metro Detroit area.
