"Being the liaison between the Arab American Community and Wayne County is a big responsibility. I was only able to succeed because of the support of this great community. What makes Wayne County special is its diversity" said Wassim. Wassim is married to Marci Mahfouz. Their happiness was fulfilled with the birth of their baby boy Rami. "It is such a beautiful feeling to be a father. You appreciate your parents more and your goals and standards in life change. You don't live anymore for yourself and that is what makes your life more meaningful." Wassim enjoys spending time with family and friends, and tries to travel as often as possible.
