Nasser Halwani Bio

 

Nasser Halwani, a native of Tripoli, Lebanon, came to the United States in September 1985. Halwani came to pursue a higher education degree in the U.S.A., originally settling in Los Angeles, CA where he lived until 2002. A double major in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics, Halwani obtained his degrees from the University of Southern California in December 1989. Halwani went on to receive his MS degree in Computer Engineering in 1992, from California State University in Los Angeles. Before graduating with his MS degree, he landed his first job at the IT department of a national Commercial Real State company. He later went on to work for EDS (Electronic Data System) and Xerox Corporation. In June 2002, he received an offer to join the team at Ford Motor Company's Web Hosting group, when he moved his beautiful family from sunny California to the heart of the Arab community in Dearborn, MI. Halwani recently started his own IT Consulting firm "TeamLogicIT"; he is also a department Chair at the IS&T department of the University of Phoenix, the largest private accredited university in the nation, teaching IT and e-Business courses. Between his two full time positions he still finds the time to take part in LAHC and community activities and enjoys spending time with his family, and going to the gym. Halwani is blessed with three beautiful children who are LAHC youth group members; Rayan, Amer, and Amina. In IT, Halwani possesses several Industry certifications: CISSP, PMP, MCSE, MCDBA, MCNE, CCNA.
